The Great Prostitute
In Revelation 17, the revealing Angel takes John to a desert where he shows him the Beast. John saw a woman riding on the Beast, and observed that
5 The name written on her forehead was a mystery: BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
We saw how the sequence of the empires that subdued Israel, symbolized in the four animals of Daniel 7, began with the Babylonian Empire, in which the city of Babylon was the great capital of Nebuchadnezzar. All the civilizations and peoples of the Middle East and North Africa were well aware of the location of that famous Babylon.
So why does John call this Babylon a mystery?
The reason is because this is not literal Babylon, in present-day Iraq, but rather another city symbolized as Babylon. If it were indeed the same city of Babylon, then why say it is a mystery?
Over the course of nearly two millennia such was the nature of this mystery that only recently has it become clear to what this Prostitute refers. Now that her identity has been clarified, it is apparent why there was no way to know unequivocally who she was before the 20th century. The geo-economic, technological and political conjuncture of the 20th century provided the final piece of the puzzle that enabled the decoding of this obscure mystery. I shall explain this.
As I stated in an earlier subchapter, misleading classical interpretations pointed to the Vatican and the Catholic Church as leading candidates to playing the role of the Prostitute.
So here we also come to an extreme paradigm shift. Again, in this new interpretation there is not a single contradiction. All the interpretative elements fit harmoniously, corroborating what we have been saying from the beginning: the explanation with which all the evidence correlates, the key with which all secrets open, is Islam.
The Prostitute of the Apocalypse is the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
A good way to look at all the elements, and see how they confirm this theory, is to look at chapters 17 and 18 of Revelation verse by verse:
Revelation 17:1
1 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits by many waters.
Comment:
In Revelation 17:15, the Angel says to John, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.” And later, in verse 18, the Angel also says: “The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
Every year, in the great city of Mecca, Muslims perform the hajj, the pilgrimage that enables them to purify themselves of their sins by kissing the black stone that is on the eastern corner of the Kaaba. The crowds that gather there in these periods exceed a million people, from all the Islamic nations and from all over the world, the “waters.”
Revelation 17:2
2 With her the kings of the earth committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.”
Comment:
The “wine of her adulteries” is oil. The entire planetary economic structure of today is sustained by the exploitation of oil. One of the richest nations on the planet is Saudi Arabia, whose wealth comes from only one source: oil. Virtually all rulers of the planet are subjected to the will of Saudi kings and princes, and willing to “sell” themselves, to politically and financially prostitute themselves to enjoy the profits of this product, turning a blind eye to Islam’s religious crimes for profit.
Revelation 17:3
3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.
Comment:
Look how the woman is in a desert. For those who argue that the Prostitute is Rome or New York, none of these cities are in a desert. Mecca is in a desert. The Arabian Peninsula is basically a huge desert island, surrounded by three seas.
The woman is sitting on the Beast, the Prostitute is riding on Islam, whose false religion is a blasphemy against the true God.
The seven heads and ten horns refer to Islamic rulers who will join the battle against Israel in the “last days.”
Revelation 17:4-5
4 The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries.
5 The name written on her forehead was a mystery: BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Comment:
The clues to understanding this mystery, the fact that Babylon is not conventional Babylon in Iraq, are in Jeremiah 49, 50 and 51, in addition to Isaiah 13 and 21. I will explain this in Part 3.
It is the Mother of Prostitutes because it is the origin of the greatest prostitution on Earth, the greatest factor that induces half a dozen powerful people to exploit the great mass of humankind, by enslavement to energy resources provided by oil: fuel, plastics, etc. The lunar crescent, before being the symbol of Islam, is the symbol of the goddess Ishtar, whose worship was ministered by prostitute priestesses. The silver wrap that surrounds the black stone kissed by the pilgrims in the Kaaba has the stylized form of the female genitalia.
She is the Mother of Abominations because it was Mecca in Arabia that began the great abomination that is the false Islamic religion, and Mecca remains the main propagating center of this abomination.
Revelation 17:6
6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.
Comment:
The “holy people” are Jews; those “who bore testimony to Jesus” are Christians.
Islam is the world’s foremost promoter of persecution of Christians and Jews. As I have explained before, one of the foundations of Islam is the murdering of Christians and Jews who do not want to convert to Islam. The messenger of Islam himself, Muhammad, practiced this in his life and established himself as the model of the perfect man to be imitated by the pious Muslim, the most faithful Muslim believers.
Revelation 17:7-8
7 Then the angel said to me: “Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns.
8 The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because it once was, now is not, and yet will come.
Comment:
As I explained in detail in an earlier chapter, the Beast that once was and is not, but would come up out of the abyss, is the Islamic empire.
The ten horns are ten Islamic nations that will unite to attack Israel and Jerusalem in the “last days.”
The seven heads are due to the fact that one of these rulers, shortly before the last armed conflict against Jerusalem, will conquer and submit to his dominion three nations, that is, he will overthrow three other rulers. I believe it will be Turkey, which I speculate will dominate Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. But this will be better explained in Part 3 of this book.
This strange mismatch between seven heads and ten horns is described in Daniel 7:8, when the prophet is looking at the fourth animal, the Beast, and says, “While I was thinking about the [ten] horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.”
Revelation 17:9-11
9 “This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits.
10 They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for only a little while.
11 The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.
Comment:
The Prostitute is seated on seven mountains. In the original Greek the word “oré” is used, that means mountains. Conventional theorists argue that the Prostitute is the Vatican, “seated” over Rome with its seven hills. However, ancient Rome was surrounded by seven very smooth and low hills on the east bank of the Tiber river, not mountains. The Vatican is on the other side of the river, not “sitting” on the hills nor surrounded by them. The hill on which the Vatican is situated is not one of the seven of ancient Rome and has only a negligible 75 meters of altitude. And yet it is higher than the other seven hills of ancient Rome, which have on average less than 50 meters (the highest is 57 meters). However, Mecca is surrounded by seven mountains (“oré”), not hills.
Revelation 17:12
12 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast.
Comment:
The expression “for one hour” means that this prophecy refers to the “end time,” that these rulers will be in power for a very short time.
The fact that they receive authority “along with the beast” is because they are rulers of Islamic nations.
You should recall that the Beast is the eighth empire, the next caliphate, which has not yet officially emerged until this year of 2017.
Revelation 17:13
13 They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.
Comment:
These rulers are able to unify their purposes and devote their power and authority to the Islamic ideal and submit to the central power of the caliph that will command them, the eighth king of Revelation 17:11. I remind you that a caliph in Islam holds both religious and political sovereignty.
Revelation 17:14
14 They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”
Comment:
These rulers are united against Christ and against the true God since this struggle is the foundation that gave rise to Islam. Therefore, it is said in Daniel that this mouth utters blasphemies and speaks arrogantly against the true God.
But Jesus will be victorious, as his true followers will.
Revelation 17:15-17
15 Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.
16 The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.
17 For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority, until God’s words are fulfilled.
Comment:
Although Mecca is the holiest city in Islam, the truth is that many millions of Muslims despise Saudi Arabia, its king, and the Saudi princes. These are mainly hated by the Shiites since they are Sunni. But many Sunnis from other Islamic nations also disdain the Saudis because they consider them corrupt to the highest degree. For large numbers of Muslims, it is unpardonable for the Saudis to be selling oil to Christians and to the entire non-Islamic world. Therefore the “beast and the ten horns [ten kings] you saw will hate the prostitute” and they “will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.”
Iran, which is Shiite, has the most vocal of governments as regards an expression of hatred toward the Saudis. The Iranian government openly threatens Saudi Arabia.
The biblical prophecies express that Iran will destroy Mecca and great extent of Arabia. This I will show in Part 3.
Revelation 17:18
18 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
Comment:
Mecca, in Saudi Arabia, is in fact the city that holds dominion over the rulers of the entire earth.
Religiously, within the scope of Islam, Saudi Arabia has the two most sacred places of Islam, which makes it the center of religious attraction for all Muslims in the world.
But its greater ruling is an economic and financial domain, and she figuratively holds the world in her hand. Hardly any nation or ruler of the world dares to go against the wills of the Saudi princes. They, with their oil and their petrodollars, command the whole world with short reins and move influences as they see fit.
At present, it is the Saudi princes who most invest in the spread of Islam throughout the world. Each year, the Saudis alone invest more money in the US to spread Islam than the whole of Christians invest in the world for the spread of the Gospel.
Revelation 18:1-2
1 After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor.
2 With a mighty voice he shouted: “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’ She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.
Comment:
When the Angel says “Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,” this is the bridge to discover which is the mysterious Babylon, which two other prophets of the Old Testament, Isaiah and Jeremiah, referred to around six centuries before John.
For example, in Isaiah 21:9 we read: “Look, here comes a man in a chariot with a team of horses. And he gives back the answer: ‘Babylon has fallen, has fallen!’” It is the same expression, which reveals that this is a biblical key to the proper interpretation of the prophecy of Revelation.
As I said before, in Part 3 I will explain in more detail this mystery, the fact that Babylon is not the conventional Babylon of Iraq, but rather the present Mecca of Saudi Arabia, whose evidences are in Jeremiah 49, 50 and 51, as well as Isaiah 13 and 21.
Revelation 18:3
3 For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.”
Comment:
More than six centuries before John, Jeremiah already referred to this “wine” when he prophesied of this mysterious Babylon and its “maddening wine”: “Babylon was a gold cup in the LORD’s hand; she made the whole earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; therefore they have now gone mad.”[1]
See how the rulers of the nations and the merchants of the land are specified as the great beneficiaries of the oil trade, the Babylonian/Saudi “wine.”
Revelation 18:5, 7
[...]
5 her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.
[...]
7 Give her as much torment and grief as the glory and luxury she gave herself. In her heart she boasts, ‘I sit enthroned as queen. I am not a widow; I will never mourn.’
Comment:
The iniquity of Islam even goes so far as to affront heaven itself, since its ideological doctrine is blasphemous when it denies that Jesus is Son of God; when it declares that we are not children of God but his slaves; that those who believe in the Trinity should be murdered; that a woman, according to Allah, is worth only half a man; that the man must beat his wife, etc., etc.
One thing that is very prominent of the fundamentalist Muslim is arrogance. It is part of the foundations of Islamic fundamentalist ideology that faithful Muslims are the best people in the world, and that all others should serve them as second-class citizens, or even as slaves. The fundamentalist achieves superiority by simply being a faithful believer. Allah in the Qur’an affirms Muslims are the best people in the world, and all others are the lowest of creatures. For fundamentalists, their ideology and sharia are perfect. Their faith in the perfection of Islamic teachings gives birth to their arrogance and their indefatigable belief in victory through violence over all religious and political systems. Mecca, symbolically the source of all Islamic power, believes it will never be overthrown. That is why the prophet’s use of the expression “‘I sit enthroned as queen. I am not a widow; I will never mourn.’”
Revelation 18:8-10
8 Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her: death, mourning and famine. She will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.
9 “When the kings of the earth who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her.
10 Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry: ‘Woe! Woe to you, great city, you mighty city of Babylon! In one hour your doom has come!’
Comment:
In verse 8 it says that “in one day” the ruin of mysterious Babylon will happen. And in verse 10 it informs that in “one hour” it will be doomed.
As I will explain in Part 3, this indicates that the catastrophe will be complete and rapid. Many other biblical passages, also of other prophets, declare that the ruin will be sudden, total and irremediable. The fate of this territory is never to be inhabited again. This, along with other biblical verses, indicates that the catastrophe will be by nuclear means.
We see that none of the “kings of the earth” approaches the site of the disaster. They can only mourn the fate of the iniquitous city, which had given them so much money to earn, by which they had prostituted themselves and led a life of lust and debauchery provided by the fruits of the “wine,” the oil.
Revelation 18:15-18
[...]
15 The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn
16 and cry out: “‘Woe! Woe to you, great city […].
17 In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!’ “Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off.
18 When they see the smoke of her burning, they will exclaim, ‘Was there ever a city like this great city?’
Comment:
It is very relevant that the prophet Jeremiah, prophesying about six centuries before John and referring to the same event, provided us with yet another clue to the location of this mysterious Babylon, when he recorded: “At the sound of their fall the earth will tremble; their cry will resound to the Red Sea.”[2]
It is then a city from which you can hear and see the effect of a nuclear explosion from the Red Sea.
Does the reader remember when, in verse 3 of chapter 17 of Revelation, the Angel took John into the wilderness to show him the Prostitute?
Mystery-Babylon is then a city in a desert, near the Red Sea.
Mystery-Babylon is not the Babylon of Iraq, it is not Rome, it is not New York or any other city but Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
Mecca gathers all the cross-elements that are provided to us by the different prophets referring at different times to the same future event.
Revelation 18:19
19 They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out: “‘Woe! Woe to you, great city, where all who had ships on the sea became rich through her wealth! In one hour she has been brought to ruin!’
Comment:
What ethnicities have as their culture throwing dust upon the head to express great pain and mourning? The Arab ethnicities.
None of the Western peoples, nor the Jews, manifest themselves in this way.
What is described here is the deep despair of the Arabs facing the total overthrow of Mecca, their civilizational and religious center.
Revelation 18:20, 24
20 “Rejoice over her, you heavens! Rejoice, you people of God! Rejoice, apostles and prophets! For God has judged her with the judgment she imposed on you.”
[...]
24 In her was found the blood of prophets and of God’s holy people, of all who have been slaughtered on the earth.”
Comment:
Who has always persecuted the Jewish and Christian cause? Who has as its religious foundation the martyrdom of Jews and Christians? It is Islam, whose disseminating center is Mecca, the Prostitute of the Apocalypse.
Therefore, in her, the Prostitute city, in mystery-Babylon, “the blood of prophets and of God’s holy people, of all who have been slaughtered on the earth” was found."
